Henry is SIX Months Old...

So Henry turned 6 months old on December 17th (and yes, now he's almost 7 months old) and I was able to snap some pictures around that time.  I look at him often these days and can't get over how big he's getting.  I say this every month - I realize.  But I really mean it this time.

What Henry's been able to do at 6 months:
  • Henry started eating rice cereal about a week prior to turning 6 months old.  It's taken him awhile to get used to the whole concept (pictures to come), but he's really doing well with eating solid foods.
  • Henry started army crawling.  He's pulling with his arms and kicking his legs, but doesn't have the whole coordinated "crawling" concept down yet.  He's still mainly rolling around to get from place to place.
  • He is sitting up more and more and getting stronger at it by the day.  It has sure made my life easier.
  • Giggling more and more...especially when I tickle him on his belly or under his arms.
  • Henry is a wiggle worm.  When he's in our arms he is constantly moving and is straining to see what's around him.  He never wants to miss out on the things going on.
  • Still sucking his fingers and drooling, but no tooth yet!  EVERYTHING is going in his mouth these days.
  • "Talking" and chirping to get our attention.  His lungs are working loud and clear.
  • He is getting what Peter has termed a "toupee" on his head.  Most of his hair is growing in the front and we have a hard time knowing what to do with it.
  • He is mainly waking up once a night, between 4-5 am to nurse.  Then he's been waking up around 7 am for the day.
