There are many things I can share about Christmas with my family. It typically consists of sitting around the table or couches, talking, eating, drinking pots of coffee every morning, and this year - laughing and playing with Henry. Henry was definitely loved on during our couple weeks at home...there was rarely a second when someone wasn't talking to or playing with him. There were moments during my time at home when I would just look around - soaking it all in - and reminding myself how fortunate I am to have the family I have. We debate, tease, hug, drive each other crazy at times...but it's us and we get over it. It was the first time we had all been together in a year and a half...and we made the most of the opportunity.
Here are a few of the highlights from my time at home...
The time at home (2 1/2 weeks!) went by incredibly fast...so thankful for my parents for hosting all of us the whole time - cooking all the meals, cleaning up after us, gifts, and watching Henry (allowing his parents to sleep in many mornings). The help and fellowship was definitely appreciated and I realize it even more now that I'm back home. Love you guys and can't wait till we see you again.
It was such a good Christmas this year- memorable for so many reasons. I. am. thankful.
